For tuition institutes, classes and tutors

Your classes,
in exactly the right hands.

HeyDocket is where tuition institutes, exam-prep classes and tutors publish recorded lectures, past papers and live classes to paying students only. One login per student, access that ends when you decide, and a clear view of who actually studied.

Bring your batch spreadsheet. We'll handle the rest.

The way it works today

The group chat was never meant to run an institute.

One student pays, screen-records the lecture, and drops it in a private group with their friends. By Friday, forty people who never paid have watched Tuesday's class, and you'll never see that chat. Meanwhile you still can't tell which of your own students opened it at all.

  • Resending week 3 for the fifth timeEverything for the course, on one shelf
  • One paid lecture, screen-recorded for a whole groupTheir name on every frame they watch
  • "Did anyone actually watch it?"211 of 248 watched. Here are the 37 who didn't.

With HeyDocket every lecture carries the viewer's name on screen, so a recording points straight back to them. One login per student, and access ends when you decide.

What you get

Everything a week of teaching needs. Nothing it doesn't.

Access that ends when the term does.

Every course, lecture and grant has a window. Schedule Monday's lecture on Sunday night and let access close on its own at term's end. Nobody has to remember to remove anyone.

Know who studied.

Not "published". 211 of 248 opened it, and here are the ones who didn't.

Faster than a broadcast.

Post a notice to a cohort and it lands as a push on every phone. No numbers to collect.

Students, courses and units. One platform.

Enrol students, build courses unit by unit, and set who sees what until when. No more spreadsheets on the side.

Every video carries the student's name.

Each lecture is watermarked with the username of whoever is watching it. Screen-record it, and the recording points straight back to them.

The student app

Your institute, in every student's pocket.

Give your students one app for everything you teach. When classes are easy to find, more of them watch, more of them show up live, and fewer messages land on your phone asking for the link.

  • Everything you publish, where they'll see it. New lectures, past papers and tonight's live class land on their home screen the moment you post them.
  • Your lectures stay yours. Videos play inside the app with the student's name on screen, and disappear on the expiry date you set.
  • Live classes without the link. Students join your Zoom class from the app. There's no meeting link to forward to anyone else.

Live classes · Zoom integration

Connect your Zoom. Only your students get in.

Link your institute's Zoom account once and schedule classes from HeyDocket. Students join inside the app, so the meeting link never reaches a chat, and nobody without access can sit in the room.

  • Connect your own Zoom account in a couple of clicks. Lecturers keep teaching the way they do now.
  • No meeting ID or passcode to share. The class only opens for enrolled students, one device each.

Questions

Straight answers.

Still wondering about something? Ask us on a call. We'll show you with your own lectures.

What is HeyDocket?

HeyDocket is a platform for tuition institutes and tutors to deliver recorded lectures, PDFs, documents and Zoom live classes to paying students only. It enforces one login per student, blocks screenshots, screen recording and emulators, puts the student's username on every video, and shows watch time and attendance for each student and course. HeyDocket is built by Altrizo Labs.

Who is HeyDocket for?

Tuition institutes, exam-prep classes such as A/L and O/L batches, and individual tutors who teach paying students online. We're starting in Sri Lanka and working with institutes across Asia, from a single tutor with a few dozen students to networks with thousands.

How much does HeyDocket cost?

Pricing depends on how many students you teach, with plans for up to 200 students, up to 500, and more than 500. Every plan includes the full set of protections, Zoom integration and analytics. Tell us about your institute and we'll send you a quote.

Is HeyDocket an LMS?

No. There are no quizzes, gradebooks, assignments or forums. HeyDocket does one job well: it gets your recorded and live classes to the students who paid for them, and shows you who studied.

Can students share their login?

No. Once a student is signed in, their account stays on that phone. Anyone else who tries the same details sees that the account is already in use, and you can see every attempt.

What if a student forwards a lecture link?

Every time a student presses play, they get a link made for their account that expires within 15 minutes. A forwarded link stops working almost immediately.

Do our lecturers have to stop using Zoom?

No. Zoom classes play inside HeyDocket, and Google Meet and Microsoft Teams open in their own apps. Lecturers teach the way they already do.

Do you collect fees from students?

No. Most institutes collect fees by bank transfer or cash. You set a paid-until date for each student and their access follows it.

What stops a student screen-recording a lecture?

The app blocks screenshots and screen recording, and won't run on emulators. Every video is also watermarked with the username of the student watching it, so if a recording ever turns up in a group chat, you know whose account it came from.

Hey, let's get your first batch in.

A one-hour call. Bring a lecture and your student list, and we'll set it up with you, live.
